Crowdstack uses a responsive grid to make sure that interfaces can automatically adapt to different screen and device sizes. We use Foundation's responsive system . Most of the time, you do not even have to worry about that. But there are a few areas where you really need to be cognizant of the overall page structure and responsive and those include your header, footer, and top banners that are displayed at the top of the page. Each of those items is full-width by default and so they will...
"How to put a widget in the main left column of the homepage" was one of the first questions I asked Hoop about during Beta, and I have seen many others ask the same question since. Answer: you can't put real widgets there. But I did figure out how to 'fake' one there --which also has the side option of creating 3 columns, if you like that sort of thing. Why? We like the idea of more custom content in the Main Left Column (aka " MLC "), and less of the preset content blocks feeding...
Crowdstack contains several icon based menu items and there are times when you may want to replace the icon with text to make the action more clear. For this tip I will be focusing on the search menu item: Each menu item is represented in the DOM using a li -> a, and the items with a icon will contain a i (icon) within the a (anchor). Since I want to customize the search icon I will use a DOM inspector, in this case the one built into chrome to look at that magnifying glass icon used for...
Crowdstack has pre-loaded Emoticons to use. But you can add new Emojicons (emojis) as well. First, choose which Emojis you want to use. Emojipedia is a good resource . If you're going to add a lot of Emojis, it will be handy to create a document where you've pasted the Emojis and the corresponding keystrokes so that you can just go back and forth copy/pasting. 😀 Grinning Face In your Crowdstack, click on Manage > Settings and in the Design category click on Emoticons. Click on "Add...
In my automated messages, I often greet members by their username (in the email salutation), but your system automatically links their user name to their member profile and thus gives their name the default link color, which is a different color than the rest of the email text. This makes the email look more like a form letter than I would like (as if I just filled in a blank with their name). Of course, this is precisely what happens, but I would like their names not to look so obviously...
Hi, Thanks for the explanation. It still doesn't help. In what way do I write the font size??? 12px? 12 pt?? I have set my font size in a widget which has my welcome pagagraph, and no matter what I do to it, it is displaying what I would call 2pt type. Please HELP!!!!!
Okay I really need help!!! All my pages are displaying in this super tiny font, including Private Messages!! Please tell me what to set , where to set it , so it displays as 12 point type!! AAAGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have the time to screw around with this!!!!!
After living with the new logo for 12 days: It's very big (double the height of regular text). That makes it double the height of our copyright notice in our page footer. It doesn't explain the relationship between our community and Hoop.la. With the old "Powered by Social Strata" logo, it was easy to understand Social Strata's role. That's not clear with the new logo. We'd prefer to have some options for the colour of the logo (preferably grey). Our corporate branding directive is to go...
Hi @Cissy ! The social integrations are enabled at the top community level in the control panel: Basics > Social Networks. For each social network, you can choose Sign-in, Member Profile Links, and/or Social Feed, depending on what's available to us from that social network (every API is different). If you choose member profile links or social feed as an option, your members will see a prompt banner at the top of their profile the next time they go that page, saying something like,...
You can change all colors related to the post type boxes in your Theme. Look for the these two sections: The "Cards" theme section controls the boxes themselves (the colors used for the boxes, including link color), while the "Module Color" section controls the top border you see at the top of each post type box. Thus, it is completely configurable, so you can make it looks anyway you like. If you have specific issues changing theme colors, please let us know via a support ticket. Thanks!
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
