Can I expect all users to retain there existing password 2. Is there an API, where we can start uploading other clients without having to rekey the information

Hi All   Why don't hoop.la also include a Dis Like button to the content, then Members can also Dis Like posts.   Thanks Wiekus

Hi! I noticed that here in this forum the Subject is Sticky (persists at the top of the page). Is this a feature soon to be released in Hoop.la or is just in Question Shark? ST

I really hate the vertical spacing on the font used on this forum an hoop.la Typography is bad enough on the internet, but this makes it worse. Can you choose something else that won't let you drive a bus between each letter!

On the exisiting Hoop,la sites in the create topic/post reply box there is an icon to insert special characters such as é and Ö. It looks as if that icon function won't be on Hoop.la 2 sites. Will it be necessary for people to have to use the like of Windows Character Map or go into HTML mode and enter the HTML code both of which are less convenient?

Will do! I've basically been encouraging everyone I know interested in my site concept to share it like crazy. Having the support of friends / family with thriving online social networks helps a ton. And I realized that I should sign up for a FB page so I could entice regular FB users BACK to my site by posting news and blog post links there. Learning a lot and loving what you guys are doing! Where are you located? A couple people have asked and I can't figure it out. Morgan

Yes, you should definitely leverage your FB presence. That will help you too. The bulk of our staff are in Seattle, WA, but a couple of us are in Charleston, SC. We're in the process of opening a second office here. It's definitely helping us to have folks in two time zones!

You sure can! On your blog page, on the right hand column, you should see an RSS link. Just grab that and feed it into Hootsuite as I described above, and voila. Just let me know if you run into any trouble, and I can help further.

Are you talking about the one that says " Para ofrecerles un mejor servicio, estamos trabajando en la migración de los contenidos anteriores a esta nueva plataforma más interactiva. Agradecemos su colaboración. Los usuarios deberán registrarse nuevamente " If so, very easy. On the top right of the widget when you move your move over the widget, click on the edit icon. Then check mark "Mostrar en caja widget estándar" and check mark "¿Mostrar Título de Widget?" Then click update. It will then...

Thanks! This is a big step in a number of ways, including making the list rather than the grid the first thing visible, and allowing it to scroll into the future, instead of being broken up by month. One question for us: On our site ( http://www.travelgumbo.com ) we have the calendar listed as Upcoming Content Planner (bloggers only) under the TG Stuff menu item. Is there an easy way to simply have the calendar not appear on the menu for those who do not have calendar access? Friendlier than...
  • Blog Post Comment
Good morning Paul, Glad you like the calendar changes, we are very excited about them here as well. The reason that the sub menu item does not respond to a users permissions is that its a custom menu item. Custom menu items cannot be hidden or shown by Hoop.la based on a users access to the web page that they link to. The "Calendar" built in menu item will show or hide based on a user's ability to view at least one calendar on your site. Hope this helps, Jonmark

If I understand correctly, then, we could remove the current calendar listing we have, implement a "calendar" item on the menu line, and it would then show or not, depending on user permission? That would work for us... __________________________________________________________________________________

That is correct Paul, though you will want to be careful because you already have a lot of root level menu items so adding another one could blow out the width of your site. Just something to be mindful of, Jonmark

Hi Bradley, I just wanted to let you know that the latest Hoop.la release supports a new Databases feature which could easily be used for a Contact Us form. You can read more about the feature here: https://hey.crowdstack.com/b...atabases-for-hoop-la Note that the Databases feature is only available on Business and Enterprise plans. Regards, Brian

Great stuff. One question: In the Activity Point formula, there's a reference to points earned for the author having a post on a support topic "marked as best answer." Can one enable this "best answer" feature in their own community forums? If so, how? I can't seem to locate this option on Hoop.la. Thanks.
  • Blog Post Comment
Hey Julia, Your site should not be seeing that activity event. It should go away in a future release. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused you.
  • Blog Post Comment
Just to clarify what Jonmark said... the "mark as best answer" action is a feature in QuestionShark, our customer support product/module. Thus, sites that do not have QuestionShark enabled will never have that option available.

Wow the page views is a wonderful addition, thank you so much. Is this tallying ONLY those who click and read at the website and NOT those who read it via email?
  • Blog Post Comment
The page views will increment when a user views a topic/blog/clip via the website (standard or mobile). We do not track page views for users viewing the a post via email notification.

Hi Aaron- I'm not sure I understand your question. Yes, Hoop.la is web accessible. In fact, it is an online community platform, which is inherently on the web. I'm guessing you are intending to ask something else? Are you asking if it is mobile-accessible? If so, the answer to that is also yes. If you can clarify your question further, we'd be happy to assist. Thanks!

Hi Ted, Thanks for your response. My questions is esentially wondering if it follows WCAG or section 508 or will it pass accessibility checks? I did a few checks on the site I was referring to and found quite a few issues with accessibility.
  • Support Topic Reply
Hi Aaron- Okay, understand your question now. You are correct, Hoop.la would not pass every accessibility guideline at this time.

Hi all,   on the old platform we had a facility to apply an automatic lock to threads after a certain number of days without new posts.  Is there a way to do this will the current Hoop La?   Many thanks. Richard
  • QuestionAnswered
Hello there! I know this question may sound weird since the whole point of Hoop.la 2.0 is supposed to go with the responsiveness trend in modern webdesign. However, my 2 small-scale sites exist to accompany a PC videogame and are primarily visited on larger screens for that matter (by a scarce amount of users). Since someone requested me to redesign the layout for one of the sites, I've started to look into making a header/footer/css design that takes a more static page approach on Hoop.la...

Hi, We have some query related to user management/administration using the API feature. 1. Is there a provision to block/ deactivate users in hoopla with hoopla API ? 2. Is deleting user possible with hoopla API ?. Deleting user from API will delete blogs, comments, support questions raised by the respective user ? 3. Can we disable all user notifications with hoopla API ? Regards, Rajesh
