One way to help your community members show their pride and entice new members is to offer community promo graphics (i.e., small graphics that link to your website).

For example, it could look like this:

 CommunityBadge

Your badge should reflect the theme and personality of your community, and you might consider offering it in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors.  That way your members can choose the one that fits with their website best.

Where can members use badges?

  • Email signatures
  • Their own blogs
  • Social network profiles

You could provide community promo graphics in a featured forum topic, or create a custom page with all of the information.

How to set up a community badge page

  1. Create your graphic
  2. Upload it to your web space
  3. Make a custom HTML page
  4. Add your image and the code to link to the badge
  5. You can add the badge page to your navigation menu too, if you like

Here's an example of a simple badge page

What tools are you providing your community members to spread the word and invite new members?
