Is there any place on the back-end where I can set myself up to receive alerts when members have reached activity milestone levels? I would like to check that these messages are being properly sent (with a message that I like), but I don't want to have to search the activity stream to find them (extremely tedious to do). Thanks.

Our members continue to report that the new layout requires a lot more scrolling compared to Hoop.la 1.0 and it's especially noticeable on devices with higher resolution such as laptops/tablets. It would be nice to have a "compact" theme option where the use of white space was minimized and page elements were optimized. I've attached two screenshots. The first is the currently layout. The second is a mock-up where all I've done is move the Likes icon from it's own line above it and next to...

Hi, we've just ported over to hoop.la from Eve and I am wondering if there is any way to control what events appear in the activity feed? For our forum it would be preferable if announcements of the purchase of premium memberships and members following other members did not show up in the feed. Any info on controlling this (if it is possible to do so) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We've decided to disable the Like feature b/c it clutters up the Activity Stream. I'm assuming we we do this by removing the permission from each member group but if that's not the case can someone let me know?   Thanks

Has anyone else had an issue with a disappearing Sound On/Sound Off button in the chat rooms/chat events? I had a member call in who had the Stream On/Off button, but there was nothing next to it. She was using Firefox 43.0.4. I had no problems with it in my version of Firefox 43.0.4, but the button was, indeed, missing for her. I had her open the community in IE 11 and it was working properly in that browser. Any suggestions on how I could help her get the community working properly in...

I'd like the member's profile to show the blog by default instead of the activity stream. Is this something that can be done in settings? I do see the javascript for it - can I edit that as a premium member?

Where can I find info on the Activity Stream filters (Content, Comments, and Action). When I go to Support > Documentation there's just a message saying "There are currently no documents".

Is there any way to find out how many of our members have suspended all notifications from our site (i.e. how many are no longer active members)? Thanks! Emma

The Activity Stream should show the avatar of the person making the activity (liking, joining, etc). Currently, the A.S. only shows the avatar of the person whose post or topic is being liked or replied to. But that makes no sense. The person creating the activity should be shown (rewarded/acknowledged), especially those who are joining or becoming premium members. Note: This issue was brought up when the A.S. widget was first deployed in Hoopla. At that time I believe the powers-that-be...

When you look at the activity stream and click on "replies" as the filter, you see a list of "replies" apart from they are not a list of replies at all. It is a fairly pointless list of names of people who have replied to a topic. How can I get this to show something that will draw others into the conversation by showing a couple of lines of text - which would actually then be a list of replies - as the visitor would expect to see.

Hi Morgan- Yes, very familiar with the "view all posts by" feature. We actually created that feature for the UBB 16 some years ago. It just has not been added to Hoop.la as a one-click search link. Our goal overall if to keep Hoop.la as clutter-free as possible, and we try to be judicious with visible links/actions. In our next software update, we are making the member profile much richer, to include an activity stream of their activity, to include posts, likes, follows, etc. That does not...

Hi ST- Just an FYI that we are eventually planning to add a new kind of module to Hoop.la- a support forum system, modeled along the lines of what you see here. Answers can be marked as "best answers" for instance. It also supports some other cool things like "whispers".. posts that only staffers can see inside the topic stream. We don't have an ETA yet on when that will be integrated, but it is on our development schedule.

Hey guys, I guess it would be nice to have more of a custom profile for each member. Where you could have a live stream of activities on each profile and you could add a custom wallpaper for the background. I don't know I was just curious to see if it was even possible. Thanks, David

Update and Refinement: We use "likes" for two purposes: 1. Liking or appreciating a post 2. It creates a bookmark on your profile wall of "favorites" you can find later. Would like to see those as 2 separate things: A like button and a bookmark button My bookmarks shouldn't show on activity stream, only my likes.

This particular user had only "Actions" under their Activity Stream (when viewed from their Profile) - that is why it looks like no activity shows dates. But when I  checked a "busier" member, I could see that "Comments" and "Content" does include dates.  Not very helpful that Actions don't, however! -- Carol

Hi, Over the past week or so, we've had some users pop up with mysterious Member titles. ("expert", "member", "Enthusiast"). Our default member title is "Member". Only a few of us have custom titles. These are all recent members. So it's not as though we have some legacy Member title from the Eve days. I've checked with our team of administrators and nobody remembers doing this manually, Here's a screen shot of the most recent one. I've scanned through the previous posts about Activity...

Hello, In the Activity Point System, it says that when a member posts "Primary content" they earn 10 points. We are wondering what is included in primary content? For instance, would posting an image to the member gallery fall under that category? Thanks, Joelle

I think it would be really cool if the Activity Stream showed an excerpt of a comment that was made on a clip - it currently just shows that 'a comment was made on the clip [clip name and clip description]'.  I don't find the clip description as useful in the activity stream when someone comments - having an excerpt of the actual comment would be cool.   Thanks! Morgan

I placed all posts into moderation Q until I was certain of their accuracy. Then I approved them and now each event shows up 2x. if I delete 1 event both are deleted. Only 1 event appears on the calendar. The site is currently disabled until the issue is resolved. Took hours to set up calendar and I fear I will lose all. Thanks

I'm thinking that the Activity Stream could be cool for our Forums -- but I can't figure out where to turn it on/off. When I go into Edit Mode and try to do it directly on the page, I get this message: Can't figure out where that is? The personalized version seems cool.

Howdy Hoop, Today I'm looking again at the Activity Stream.  How can I create a "REPLY" label so that the "reply entries" follow (look like) the same labeling format as the Topic and Survey. A visual makes the point pretty clear:  "Reply" should have a blue label too for the sake of uniformity.  Notice also how the background color on the replies is different than the survey/topic lines. What am I missing there?  Trying to keep it from being a visual jumble.

Hi there, Can you tell me where I go to change the activity title options and the community points or rank required to achieve a given activity title? Also, is it possible to add an activity title that requires more community points (or a higher community rank) than our current highest? Not sure if this makes sense... Thanks, Emma

Hi, This is a suggestion to add Calendar Items to the Content Stream. Ideally, it would show up in the Content Stream at the time of publication, as well as post again as a reminder "x" time before the event. The content stream is the main landing area for the communities and people should get a sense of what is going on with the community when they land there. We do use an Events widget on our Content Stream, but I think it would be helpful to have the extra "splash" by incorporating event...

In the Embedded Widget options, we need a "display new topic + new comments" option so that the stream truly shows "latest new content stuff." Embedding content widgets on the homepage is a great feature, especially since the old-original activity stream widget option now disappears in mobile view. Here's what's not great about the current embedded widget "content" options: Currently, the "STREAM TYPE" options for embedded widgets only offer either "COMMENTS" or "CONTENT" --when I really...

It would be really helpful if moderated posts were included the activity stream when an admin is looking at a member's profile. We sometimes have members who post and have a TOS violation moderated. There is no way to know that without digging through the ModQ. If those posts showed up in their activity stream, only visible to admins, it would be helpful.

Currently in the Activity Stream Widget, it "welcomes" new members, but does not include their avatar. (It does include their avatar in the 'full' A.S. page.) Including the member's profile pic/avatar in the stream widget would be a "welcome" addition. On a related note: In the Activity Stream Widget, when a person's "reply" appears in the stream, their name gets listed, but the avatar of the original poster is what gets displayed. In my (likely) minority view, the avatar that should be...

We've been testing out our Hoop.la 2.0 beta site and have some questions/feedback: We're noticing a lot of white space on laptops and screens with higher resolution. The site looks tighter on tablets though. Is there a way to control this? Can we control what's in the Activity Stream?
