In our neverending quest to make Crowdstack the most amazing audience engagement platform, we'll be introducing a brand new type of content called Pips.
Pips are sure to make your community a lot more social -- they are short, subject-less posts that can be used for quick notes or status updates. They will work somewhat like Tweets, in that there will be a character limit on these posts, which can include an image.
Pips will look like this...
... and display in one long stream, so you can easily track updates from everyone in your community (or just the people you are following).
Pips will also be promoted on the community home page in the Pip Bar, in the form of avatars of the community members who have most recently added pips.
Pips will be a fun new way to get your community actively involved on an informal basis.
Of course, because this is like every other content module in Crowdstack, you can choose to disable this feature if you don't wish to use it, and you can control who can post and view pips using permissions. You can even moderate them, if you want.
We're confident that Pips will be a very popular new addition and can't wait to make it available to everyone in the next 4-6 weeks. More details will be announced later.
Importantly, Pips will be available exclusively in Version 2 of Crowdstack; the feature will not be available for customers still running on the older Version 1. If you are on Version 1 and wish to move to Version 2 (at no cost), let us know.
