Hey everyone- Sometime next week, we'll be rolling out another major update for Crowdstack , this one focusing on improving navigation in the Admin Control Panel. Currently, the Admin Control Panel is one very long list of links. We're making things (hopefully) easier to get to by putting the main control panel sections in a smaller menu at the top of each control panel page, with the subsections of each main area available in a sidebar when you are in a particular section. It will look like...
Hello all, I'd like to offer my audience the option of a free premium membership, provided they self identify as either retired or disabled, or both. How can I synch these custom profile fields from registration to Crowdstack Pay to be sure they are not charged?
Great article, Rosemary! I'd just add this: to 1. - No matter HOW you define success, your community must be visible in order to be successful. I've seen too many people hide their communities so that it takes a trail of breadcrumbs and a jungle machete to find it. to 2. - Completely agree that these are questions that are best answered before you start. We've seen a number of communities try to set up "premium features" on formerly-free features.
Bandwidth is surely very cheep these days and I am reluctant to pay a premium OR lose my SEO. Could you please tell me what my monthly charge will now be without it? Thank you.
The page views will increment when a user views a topic/blog/clip via the website (standard or mobile). We do not track page views for users viewing the a post via email notification.
Hi Brisotti, The code should go into your Display Settings control panel in the Custom CSS box. You need to make sure you use the permission circle's group ID instead of "premium" if it's not a premium permission group. For your Patrocinador circle, that numeric ID is 350043526109298115, which you can see in the URL when editing the permission circle's details. I changed your selector to .h-member-badge-350043526109298115, which fixed the problem (you also had replaced the 'h' with "webkits"...
Hi @neil ! If a premium member deactivates their account, their premium membership will simply have auto-renew canceled (if it's not already). That way, if they decide to come back and reactivate their account, their premium membership will still be active if it hasn't yet expired. When a premium member chooses to delete their own account, the premium membership is terminated immediately and no refund is given. Both of these implications are made clear to the member when deactivating or...
Lighting a candle for the dearly departed Activity Stream There are certain things about you that will be missed: 1. You announced New Premium Members and Newly Registered Members. You were a not-so-subtle encouragement to get others to "join in" too. You gave instant recognition to newbies. You gave community leaders a convenient place to see and follow up on newbies listed there. ( Where do they go now? ) You were a visible way to generate a sense of "community" -- which is something that...
Hi, Derek! You can create an Automation Rule that comps them a Premium Membership based on their response to a profile field: 1. In Automation Rules, add a new Rule, and give it a name ("Comp Premium Membership for Retired Members", for instance). 2. The Trigger will be "Member Registers". 3. For Condition, choose Profile File Field Value, and then scroll to the appropriate listed field (you can choose more than one value, so here's your chance to choose both "Retired" and "Disabled" if...
I'm absolutely loving the LiveCloud features! Thank you. The backdating of posts is enabling me to add old entries from old blogs here and organize my pre-LiveCloud photos into date order. The ability to insert clips straight into the post body does save me a lot of time too! Now I can just drag and drop them after they are in there. I haven't tried the new clip insertion yet, it sounds great!
Update: we have now consolidated both of those add-ons into one new Premium Security option that includes even more security goodness, like: Redundant DoS/DDoS mitigation Isolated firewalls per customer Active cyber defense
Here are a few more enhancements that were included in this release: We fixed the pagination bug for dialogs and clip sets. In the content management area of the control panel, we added some new search parameters. You can now find clips that have no clip set, or blogs that have no collection, and search for content that is either featured or not featured. There were other behind-the-scenes bug fixes and updates, but nothing else that affects the feature set.
Hey Danny! I just thought I'd pipe in on this as I got the email notification that you'd responded. The video is before I had set up premium memberships and more focuses on things that I had learned about bringing new members to the site in only a couple of months and keeping them engaged. I've since set it up and do have maybe 5 paying members currently (at the standard annual rate) but I really operate the site for the love of sharing my interests with others and learning from one another...
Hi Neil, I do not have a way to constrain the size of it. With today's hot fix it will no longer show on medium and small screens where space is at a premium, but I do not have a way to restrict the width. With it we can only do show or not show.
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
Note: if you proceed, you will no longer be following .
