Hello, Crowdstack people! We migrated our community from Facebook at the end of last year and have been looking for creative ways to bring more of our Facebook following to our shiny new Hoop.la space. We came up with an interesting option! We implemented a chatbot for Facebook Messenger that allows us to automate correspondence with our fan base and offer them options based on keyword inputs. It's a great way to steer our Facebook audience into specific areas of the community based on their...
What do you think of this? If you're intrigued keep reading. If not; Move along folks. Nothing to see here. Fork to a New Topic We have the cool feature that let us fork a post to a new topic. and the post then gets a tag like this. The Problem But people will often reply to the post anyway - and that just makes things difficult. I just did this. When you click the Read More button it returns to To make this happen. Edit the forked post Edit the post Source Code Add the highlighted text...
Well you know what I think about Twitter. It belongs.... Well on Twitter no-where else as it messes other social sites up with it's constant twittering so yes right tool for the right job. Facebook is a requirement for some rather that a 1st choice. I seems to be replacing Emails in a lot of ways LiveCloud is having it's ups and downs.. Just got another down this morning the add attachments function has gone walkabout. Just in time for New Year. Tis a sad thing. I had some nice pictures to...
Useful beginners tips Rosemary. I can relate a little of my own experience here if you don't mind. ( notice the compliment and the almost apologetic way of stepping in Groupee was the first Bloggers site I had ever joined with confidence. It was the newness of the Social network on offer that gave me a feeling of belonging. Prior to that I could not "break the ice" anywhere else. I think blogging is easier than joining a forum. Unless the forum is very specific in it's nature. In a blog you...
LOL James you are a perfect example of how to do it! Thanks for adding your insights as well...you just never know who might be reading and need a little encouragement.
Such a nice little well-written jab at the drug Facebook and Twitter are injecting into their users. The many Hoop.la, UBB, and Eve communities, as well as Narrative are examples of how user to user interaction through the web should be done.
Hi, I'm especially excited about the photo change. Thanks! I did, though, have two questions about the personalized activity stream. I had an activity stream on my home page (Member Milestones and More!), but I don't see a way to personalize it (see screen shot below). Why not? And, two, I don't understand this comment, "In addition, there is a new Personal Activity Stream page available whenever the Activity Stream is enabled for your site." (1) How do you enable the Activity Stream (I...
I believe that the level of engagement could be measured by quality vs quantity. For instance, if someone posts a quality and constructive question that receives feedback and/or leads to repetitive conversion. This would indicate that the creator most likely has taken time, thought carefully, and clearly has made an impression on others. I would use this similar formula to measure performance.
Hi, Mother-of-Many. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I agree. In some organizations, decisions are driven by metrics (quantity). It takes a different kind of insight to discern quality. I would like to see Crowdstack give us tools to do sentiment analysis . As a start, I'd like to know how I can use the Community Rank to measure engagement. I'll start a new discussion to explore that question. We modified the Posting Tips section in our community. Click the picture above to see where that...
Hi @MHK@CS2 - Pips will have normal permissions, so you will definitely be able to limit who can post pips to specific circles, if you like. If you never moved your site over to "Cardmode", you are still on Version 1. See this blog post , which explained v1 vs. v2. I can see that your site is still on Version 1.
When asked in a private interview what he thought of his customers providing Facebook with all their private information, Mr. Zuckerberg referred to his customers as, "...a bunch of dumb f**ks." At that moment I lost all respect for that simple twit.
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
Note: if you proceed, you will no longer be following .
