Today, we wanted to share a special quick tip for our Eve Community customers.  You can easily facilitate the spread of your content by using a third-party embeddable tool.  There are lots of sharing tools out there, but here’s just one way you can quickly add sharing to your Eve Community.  For this example, we’ll use AddThis, but you could do the same with several other free options.

1. Go to http://www.addthis.com.  Choose your style and click “Get Your Button.”
2. Copy the code that appears.
3. Go to your Eve Control Panel, in Display > Settings > Style Tab, and select the style you are currently using.
4. Go to the Custom HTML section, and paste the AddThis code into the second box (your footer code).  If you already have custom code in the box, you might need to do some testing to make sure the AddThis tool shows up where you want it.  Click Save Settings.
5. Your new AddThis sharing buttons will now show up at the bottom of each page of your Eve Community that uses the style you chose.  For example, clicking the “Tweet” button will automatically allow members to Tweet from the topic page.

Now your Eve topics can wander out into cyberspace and bring in even more members and activity!
