    Hi, As the site owner you can always access your data. In the web services panel you can make a complete backup of the database. Go to http://(your site here)/config and log in. Use the lost password link if you've lost it. Once you log in, in the top group of links - left side - select "create/restore backups" and on the resulting page you'll see that you have options to backup all or part of your data.     Hello Tom, Unfortunately you approved the account that I cannot validate the email address because there was a typo in it, and you deleted the account that I could access. Could you manually approve my email address on the Jonmark account through the Member Management section of the control panel? Then once I get logged in I will fix the users email address and try to find you issue. Thank you, Jonmark

    Hey Tom, So you gotta love the power of Coffee... I walked over to Starbucks which apparently gave my mind enough time to process the issue. Looking at the source the only way that the tools would be suppressed is if the forum had UBBCode disabled... You should be able to find that option in the forum settings: CP -> Forums -> Specific Forums Clicking on the "Forum Settings" link for the specific forum on that page should show you the settings for that forum.     Sounds like a LiveCloud Channel is what you need, based on how much you want to spend. We are introducing a whole bunch of new plan options for LiveCloud Channels in the next couple of weeks, but basically you can have forums + blogs + clips (photos and videos) + chat events + custom pages for a fixed monthly fee that is quite reasonable.     Thanks to both of you for your replies and congrats - no one is more surprised than me at the longevity of our forums, and it really wouldnt have been possible without Infopop/Eve etc. Yes, it does sound like the new LiveCloud channel options would be well worth exploring - we generally do upgrades and major changes in the Summer, so hopefully the new options will be available by June/July. I will watch here for announcements or let me know where else to look..

    Hi Kate, I think it's highly unlikely that the spammers/phishers extracted information from your Eve site. Your Eve database is locked down behind firewalls to prevent any external access. Additionally, we never reveal user email addresses to general users in the user interfaces; only administrators can ever get other users' email addresses. Finally, there have been no known compromises that could have resulted in your database being exposed to untrusted sources. I also have not heard of any...

    In your control panel, go to Members>Registration Settings, and choose the Registration Banning tab. You can insert the IP address in the appropriate field, and click the Save Settings button. You'll want to make sure that your user's IP is a static IP before you ban him. Some ISPs use a range of IP addresses that change with every login, and you could unintentionally ban an innocent user.

    Hi Kimmer! What happens is that anyone newly registered will, of course, have to agree to the new TOS when they sign up. Old members will be prompted to view and agree to the new TOS when (if) they log out and log back in again. Hope you had a good weekend!

    It is in your Eve Control Panel: Go to Eve>>Members>>Private Messaging. Once there, click the Manage tab, and search for the date range you'd like to act on. Once you have the search results, you can delete them from there.

    Hi, Bill: Is it possible that you have more than one user? I know that I have one with administrator permissions, and one without, so I can mimic the user experience if necessary. If that's not the issue, try logging out on the machine that doesn't recognize you, and logging back in. If that doesn't work, try clearing the browser cache.

    Hello Bill, The issue with the other machine could also be a javascript issue. Meaning that the user may have administrative rights, but for some reason the computer you are on is not activating the tools through javascript (which is how we show and hide the tools).     Hey guys, I'm the other person with admin rights / permission for Battleplanministries.org. I just worked with Bill to resolve the issue with no positive results. Here is what we did: 1. Using Windows Expolore Browser, cleared temp files, and history. 2. Re-accessed the forums, I was able to post my own reply, edit that reply.     I thank my Co-Administrator and friend, Dave, for his help and for the two, obviously knowledgeable folks who've tried to help. It is very curious to me that the system recognizes my ID/password; and when I'm our Forum community - battleplanministries.org/eve - it allows me to pull up the control panel or to enter the Moderator's Forum, which says to me that the system recognizes me as an Administrator with Moderator Permissions.
