By default, the main navigation menu is displayed ABOVE your site header. It is also full width by default, like so: Below, we will offer some tips for changing the appearance and positioning of your main nav menu. Left Align The Menu To position your menu text so it is aligned left instead, add this CSS: nav#top_nav_bar ul.right { float:left !important; } nav#top_nav_bar ul.right > li > ul.dropdown { left: 0; right: auto; } Your menu will then look like this: Center Align The Menu To...
When you are adding a custom header, footer, widget or page, you may want to make use of the built-in CSS utility classes in Crowdstack. This should make your coding much easier. I'll break them down by classes native to Foundation , which is the responsive framework Crowdstack uses, and those that are built into Crowdstack. Foundation CSS Classes .text-right : equivalent to text-align:right .text-left : equivalent to text-align:left .text-center : equivalent to text-align:center .flex-video...
This is similar to the tip about adding a custom icon to Premium Member badges . For this tip, we'll show you how to display a custom icon next to all Member Titles. Note that the same icon will be displayed for all titles in the example, since there is currently no way to differentiate member titles from a CSS standpoint. First, let's see what our sample Member Title of "Dude" looks like without any styling: 1. First, let's focus on simply adding an icon. You can inject a Font Awesome font...
Very interesting ideas. I will try to get a copy of Built to last. Here are two links to a fellow LiveCloud member. First one is her LiveCloud account. The second one is a link to the book she has available regarding on-line behaviors. Check them out if you get a chance. by Communitygirl 18 Rules for community engagement
If I understand correctly, then, we could remove the current calendar listing we have, implement a "calendar" item on the menu line, and it would then show or not, depending on user permission? That would work for us... __________________________________________________________________________________
strangely enough, I have noticed a reversal on LiveCloud. Names being changed, Avi's that used to portray the real person being replaced with pictorial representations. It is difficult to be the real you when you are afraid that there are rather unsavoury people floating about who have more than a mean attitude. Groupee had a very personal touch about it. Then it was mainly American's with a sprinkling of other nationalities. I found the Americans to far more polite than the English and...
Hi Rich. Please post your site's url. topic-list-box needs "padding" inside the container: Here's what we're using: .h-ubb-topic-list-box { background-color:#DEDFE0; border:1px solid #DEDFE0; padding:10px; } The How-to: I turn on Chrome's built in "Inspector" to view the CSS which is controlling whatever element I've highlighted on the webpage. (I place my cursor over the element on the site, then right click and select "inspector). Up pops a window with the html and the css source which I...
Let me see if I can get this to work in the wysiwyg editor: This is a test Which definitely works. I think that the issue you are having is that you are trying to use the fas class, which I'm not sure is available in Font Awesome 4.7 (the version we are currently using in Crowdstack). We have plans to upgrade this in an upcoming release. Next, since the WYSIWYG does not have Font Awesome icon support built directly into it you will need to use the "Source code" option on the far right to...
The principles of when and how to use "group" is a good guide to reflect, so thanks. I'm not a community manager, simply a moderator type, with ideas and attempts to develop communities of a few sorts, help inspire use. It seems to me need to have an actual project and a small group, to utilize application in order to be able to bridge to any "organizational" level engagement. again, thanks, good to hear others sharing their ideas
That was a long message, so I want to make sure I understood the bottom line. With the new model all members will be put by default into weekly digest mode, that is, they will get an email once a week summarizing all the posts that were made in the past week. As the administrator I would like to get an email each time a post is made. Will I still be able to change my settings to make that happen? Mark
Yes, you're right that the replies don't display formatting on the main page. I'll take this as a suggestion for the future! Meantime, for spoilers, I'd just artificially bump the spoiler text with asterisks or line returns so it doesn't appear on the main page.
I have not been here for a couple of years. Someone else I have given our Forums to. I am also wondering if there is a way to switch back to the older style. https://guyana.crowdstack.io/home Where each topic was listed line by line for each sub forum. Rather than having it the way it is now. Thanks
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
Note: if you proceed, you will no longer be following .
