Today is officially Pay Day for all Hoop.la site owners!

We've just rolled out a software update that includes support for Premium Memberships. We've made it amazingly easy for you to start earning money from your site.

Here's how easy it works:

1.  Go into your Hoop.la control panel and activate Premium Memberships.

As part of this, you'll need to set up your membership program-- how much you want to charge, how you want to be paid (PayPal or Check), and which, if any, features you want to reserve for your premium members.  (Note that once you activate premium memberships, any content can be marked by admins as premium, available only to premium members.  Thus, if you are only about premium content, you may not need to grant premium members any other special rights.)

2.  Your members purchase premium memberships right from your site and once they pay, we automatically grant them the proper permissions (you never have to lift a finger).  Premium memberships auto-renew, but once a user cancels (or fails to pay for a renewal), we also automatically remove the premium rights for the member, as well.

This is as turnkey as you could want!

3.  There are no setup costs and premium memberships are available for any Hoop.la plan- including our basic, free plan.  You do not need a merchant account because we handle all of the transactions for you.

4.  You keep 70% of all membership revenue and we pay you your net proceeds within 30 days of month end.

5.  Once you activate your premium membership plan, we display an "Upgrade" link on the sign-in line for each member, if they are not already premium members.  Features that are reserved for premium members are indicated, as well, as they try to use them.  It's an easy up-sell for your community.

6.  If you are running ads on your site, you can also have premium members bypass your ads.
