Hey everyone- Sometime next week, we'll be rolling out another major update for Crowdstack , this one focusing on improving navigation in the Admin Control Panel. Currently, the Admin Control Panel is one very long list of links. We're making things (hopefully) easier to get to by putting the main control panel sections in a smaller menu at the top of each control panel page, with the subsections of each main area available in a sidebar when you are in a particular section. It will look like...
Yeah Harold I 2nd 3rd and 4th that!! (I have a multiple personality) Arghhhh!! I got.. This cannot be happening!! The system is not responding, so your request could not be completed at this time. Hi Ted, All of this sounds logical but I do have a question. Right now we assign "roles' to clients and have a recipe that puts them into the appropriate circle automatically. Will that automatically carry over with the new terminology or will we need to make adjustments manually? Thanks! Mary
Hi @MHK@CS2 - Yes, it's just a terminology change, so you will not have to re-do your recipes. The "circles" you were using before will still apply, just renamed as "roles" instead. π
Iβm confused then about how the recipe will still workβ¦ when I register a new client I assign them one of two roles, and that triggers what circle they are added to. If the role goes away, it seems like I would need to adjust the recipe in some fashion so people with βRole Aβ donβt get permissioned to βCircle B.β
Hi @MHK@CS2 - The Crowdstack application does not currently use the term "role" in any sense. Recipes do not either. Recipes have triggers, conditions and actions, but not "roles". You can target specific circles in a recipe (as a "condition" and through certain "actions"). But, to reiterate, this is nothing but a terminology change-- all references to what Crowdstack currently calls "Circles" will be called "Roles" when this release is deployed. It wil not change the behavior of any of your...
Lots of great upgrades. Thanks!! A bit unclear about the wordlets and how they work. It sounds like they should work similarly to image sets; i.e., that we can edit default wordlet settings in the site. But I'm not sure, as when I click on edit wordlets, no defaults come up. See below. What am I missing and what is this supposed to do? Thanks.
Hi Julia- Even though your attachment is broken, I think I know what you are asking. By default, we setting the dropdown menu option on that page to "Search Wordlets". There are thousands of wordlets, so we default to "search" to make it easier for you to find the word/term you are looking for. To see all wordlets, or only the customized/uncustomized wordlets, you can change the dropdown menu on the right side of the page.
Thanks Hoopla....can't wait to play with all the new toys. Your great product and service just keeps getting better and better. The "wordlets" feature was an unexpected pleasure. I loved that about your older EVE platform and its great to see it back.
I super love this update! Thank you so much. As always, I'm very impressed so far with this product and all the updates that keep coming. And your customer service is second to none. Keep up the great work!
Hi, where do I go to change the colors in the post type chooser - I hate the colors that are revealing, and not much fond of the change, as it doesn't really integrate with the rest of the site. Any way to go back to what I had there.
It seems like the 'link color' value in my custom theme is also applying to the top nav bar and post type chooser now? Any way to revert back just like @Julie Usher suggested?
You can change all colors related to the post type boxes in your Theme. Look for the these two sections: The "Cards" theme section controls the boxes themselves (the colors used for the boxes, including link color), while the "Module Color" section controls the top border you see at the top of each post type box. Thus, it is completely configurable, so you can make it looks anyway you like. If you have specific issues changing theme colors, please let us know via a support ticket. Thanks!
Looking forward to learning the new admin layout, Ted. As a long time customer, I'm impressed with how often you not only improve the product but evolve it. I understand what you are changing "graemlins" to "emoticons" but hope it doesn't mean you're planning to someday retire the animated graemlins. I've always enjoyed them, think they're superior to boring emoticons, and consider them to be a bit of both your company's "DNA" and my own online
