lot of major updates. very impressive. look forward to accessing the beta site and making an aggressive push to launch my Hoop.la site. I think forum owners are going to see a SIGNIFICANT increase in engagement across their site with the mobile friendly responsive design. That is HUGE! I suspect large community sites using UBB Forum will see an amazing increase in overall utilization. I look forward to being more engaged with Social Strata. This is a high quality update for sure. Congrats.

Hey there! I'm curious as to what you're looking to customize? Crowdstack plans offer varying degrees of access to things like Custom CSS and Custom pages, as well as custom HTML in the header, but we may be able to help you if we know a bit more about your design goals. Just a tidbit---Crowdstack uses Foundation framework for its CSS. Most browsers include a way to "inspect" a page to see the classes that are being used, which helps if you're trying to focus in on a particular piece of text...

Good evening, The REM value is derived from the "Base Font Size" setting defined within your theme: CP -> Design -> Standard Themes If you edit your theme you will see the setting in the "Fonts" section. Consider a REM value a multiplier of that value. So if you have a "Base Font Size" of 16px, and you want to target a element to use a 12px font size you would set the REM value to 0.75rem. That is 16px * 0.75 = 12px. I think I can sense what you are thinking: "But Jonmark, why wouldn't...

Agree with you JC - we are now 65% mobile, and climbing every month. The responsive design website we just completed in March has seen a terrific improvement in pages per user, minutes on site and a much lower bounce rate. Right now those metrics are a combination of our responsive website plus our hoop.la community. So those metrics should improve even more once our community is responsive. And yes, I remember Mosaic. And dial up. Neither are pleasant memories.

Nice hearing from you, JC! I'm confident in the future of responsive design, though of course techniques and best practices will change over time. But the overall approach is unquestionably solid. From a browser standpoint, the best recent news is that Microsoft's next browser will be evergreen . The biggest handicap to web design has always been having to continue to support IE's archaic versions.

Hi Ted, I didn't realize that I needed this until just this past weekend. This is terrific as we stratafy [sic] features to align with incentives. Congratulations on the new logo. I wish we still had the "powered by" image selector for themes." We'd be much happier with a black or dark gray icon to go with our overall grayscale aesthetic. ST

ANON_BM, you have perfectly described our situation with your truck site analogy. We run a site about model trains. Here is a small portion of the menu structure from that site: Train Forums Traditional 3-Rail O Gauge 2-Rail Scale Forum 3-Rail Scale Forum Tinplate Trains O Scale Narrow Gauge Forum S-Scale Trains Subways/Transit/Traction Real Trains Layout Building Forums Track Plans and Layout Design Electrical Forum Scenery and Structures etc. Someone who is into Traditional 3-Rail O Gauge...

Thanks for making these changes. Please also look at your font colors on Crowdstack's pages as an "accessibility issue." Links in "light" blue are harder to read for some of us. It may be a screen or eyesight issue or BOTH but it's something I always notice when I'm on sites (like Crowdstack) which use pale palettes. (May I suggest you switch the two "blues" you use in links on Crowdstack. Use the lighter one for the hover color, and the slightly darker blue for the link's static state). I...

Hi, Derek! In your control panel, go to Navigation Menus (under Design). On the right you'll see a link marked "Add Menu Item". If you click that, you'll get a popup, and you can add your title and the URL for the page itself (which you can get on the actual custom page). Once you've added them, you can move your menu items around by using the arrows on the left. Let me know if you have any questions! Lori
