I think forum owners are going to see a SIGNIFICANT increase in engagement across their site with the mobile friendly responsive design. That is HUGE! I suspect large community sites using UBB Forum will see an amazing increase in overall utilization. I look forward to being more engaged with Social Strata. This is a high quality update for sure. Blog Post CommentI'm not sure I understand your question, Gamres. There are no known issues with the ordering of chat posts. I'd suggest submitting a support ticket if you are having an issue, so that we can properly assist you.

Blog Post Comment❤️Hi JC- No, we have not seen any issue with Windows 10 so far, though of course there is still much more testing to do. I don't really expect many issues though. The new Edge browser is still the biggest unknown but assuming it is standards-compliant (which I expect it to be), hopefully the issues there are minimal as well (and would likely just be due to bugs in that very-new browser). I'm very excited that Microsoft is finally offering an evergreen browser though... that will be great for...

Blog Post CommentI've used the latest version of Microsoft Edge on various Hoop.la sites (and Hoo.do) and there are literally no errors in markup or visual differences with Chrome (the browser I use for default). Only thing that you may notice is Microsoft's 'ClearType' technology that's on by default. It tries to smooth out the edges of fonts to offer more readable text, but I don't like it myself. Otherwise I agree with Ted that it's a huge step forward from any version of Internet Explorer.

Blog Post CommentHi Lynda- Your site will be set up on our upgrade/beta server around the end of August, assuming current projections hold up. While on that server, you will be able to create new theme(s) and change other settings so you can see what your site looks like on the new codebase. Then, once that "upgrade/beta" period ends, we will start the process of upgrading all live sites to the new codebase (and we will bring over all new themes/settings you set on that beta/upgrade server over automatically...

Blog Post CommentRe: Responsive Project Update I feel your pain Ted. I'm facing the reworking of 3 sites to be responsive. All I can say is this better not be a fad like previous "new methods" from the past that came and went. LOL That said, it does make sense to be as versatile as possible. Our audience is no longer PC/Mac, it is mobile and beyond. We simply cannot be without a connection to whatever it is we simply must have access to. Anyone remember Mosaic, the good old days. Only one browser.. lol

Blog Post CommentAgree with you JC - we are now 65% mobile, and climbing every month. The responsive design website we just completed in March has seen a terrific improvement in pages per user, minutes on site and a much lower bounce rate. Right now those metrics are a combination of our responsive website plus our hoop.la community. So those metrics should improve even more once our community is responsive. And yes, I remember Mosaic. And dial up. Neither are pleasant memories.

But the overall approach is unquestionably solid. From a browser standpoint, the best recent news is that Microsoft's next browser will be evergreen . The biggest handicap to web design has always been having to continue to support IE's archaic versions.

So, I have trading post type forums... having those auto lock after X period of time would be a great way to weed out stuff that's just not relevant anymore. Whereas the other forums, it's cool with me if people bring up old threads and ask questions on them as they are just for typical conversations. Additionally... just thought of this... is there a way to automatically filter out stuffed that's locked? Thanks! Hope you are well!

Blog Post CommentI'm delighted the auto-close feature has arrived as it's something that's been at the top of the wish list for some time. However, I think there's a problem. I enabled auto-close for posts with no activity after 30 days. what has happened is that it has closed every single topic in the forum. Unchecking the box has not re-opened them. So... I now have many hours of going through and opening up each thread manually. Not very happy about that. Is this a bug and is there a way of opening up the...

Blog Post CommentHi Richard, Yep, that's a bug. It will be fixed tomorrow. In the meantime, you can reopen topics in bulk in the Manage Content section of your control panel. Use the "Open: Accept New Comments" option. Hope that helps! Brian

Blog Post CommentUnder Manage Content -> Search Content, search for the topics you want to re-open. Select the topics (across all pages, if that's what you want), and then choose the "Open: Accept New Comments" option in the action dropdown at the bottom of the page.
