I would like to suggest that the Alert Bells in the Alerts section do not disappear until you have accessed the specific alert. Currently all the Unread indicators (Bells) disappear when you access the Alerts list but not necessarily access the actual alert itself. I would also like to see the numeric indicator in the top nav show the actual number of unread Alerts. This number would tick down by 1 every time you accessed an unread alert. Currently the numeric indicator disappears after the...

Thanks! This is a big step in a number of ways, including making the list rather than the grid the first thing visible, and allowing it to scroll into the future, instead of being broken up by month. One question for us: On our site ( http://www.travelgumbo.com ) we have the calendar listed as Upcoming Content Planner (bloggers only) under the TG Stuff menu item. Is there an easy way to simply have the calendar not appear on the menu for those who do not have calendar access? Friendlier than...

Good morning Paul, Glad you like the calendar changes, we are very excited about them here as well. The reason that the sub menu item does not respond to a users permissions is that its a custom menu item. Custom menu items cannot be hidden or shown by Hoop.la based on a users access to the web page that they link to. The "Calendar" built in menu item will show or hide based on a user's ability to view at least one calendar on your site. Hope this helps, Jonmark

There is no built-in option to do that, but it may be possible using CSS. You may want to access that question on our support site.

Hi Ted, Is there a way to turn off this feature? If not, we need one immediately. Concerns: Most of our circles are to provide access to specific forums that are visible only to the members of those specific circles. This is important: We do not want the existence of some forums and the related circles to be visible. Some of our circles have names that that were never intended for public consumption If specific circles are by invitation-only (most of ours are), then we don't want to have to...

Hey there! I'm curious as to what you're looking to customize? Crowdstack plans offer varying degrees of access to things like Custom CSS and Custom pages, as well as custom HTML in the header, but we may be able to help you if we know a bit more about your design goals. Just a tidbit---Crowdstack uses Foundation framework for its CSS. Most browsers include a way to "inspect" a page to see the classes that are being used, which helps if you're trying to focus in on a particular piece of text...

I assist a large and varied recreational vehicle information forum in connecting its 23,000+ members to those who are outstanding in the field of posting valued CONTENT topic threads (formerly listed separately from COMMENTS). This moderately popular activity and the valuable ability of any member to access via these former CONTENT links in our gurus of knowledge Profile links is seriously degraded by the lumping of CONTENT and COMMENTS into what has been and remains the basic Display All...

Re: Responsive Project Update I feel your pain Ted. I'm facing the reworking of 3 sites to be responsive. All I can say is this better not be a fad like previous "new methods" from the past that came and went. LOL That said, it does make sense to be as versatile as possible. Our audience is no longer PC/Mac, it is mobile and beyond. We simply cannot be without a connection to whatever it is we simply must have access to. Anyone remember Mosaic, the good old days. Only one browser.. lol

Hey Danny! I just thought I'd pipe in on this as I got the email notification that you'd responded. The video is before I had set up premium memberships and more focuses on things that I had learned about bringing new members to the site in only a couple of months and keeping them engaged. I've since set it up and do have maybe 5 paying members currently (at the standard annual rate) but I really operate the site for the love of sharing my interests with others and learning from one another...

@Julie Usher - please request a demo site to test Card Mode by creating a new support topic. This goes for any other existing customers that might want to kick the tires. Please note that we won't be able to set you up with a demo site though until after Card Mode is officially released (which should be soon). We will give access to a free demo site for two weeks, so only request it once you are ready to spend time to properly test it. Thanks!

I'm not ready to test it right now (it's coming at the busiest time of the year . . .), so it sounds like I shouldn't set up a support topic just yet. And I'm not able to monitor this site in the next few weeks to know when you release it. I think it would make more sense for you to open up a thread on the topic for everyone once you've released the feature - and just ask people to comment there if/when they want to test it. Thanks!

Hello I am a developer trying to do research on ingesting data from crowdstack. I created an account to see how fleshed out the api is and am attempting to do some testing. The link to the API docs is easy to find but what's not easy to find is this "API Access" section mentioned in the docs. Here is the link to the crowdstack api. If anyone knows where I can find it I would greatly appreciate it. It may just be because I have a free account I cant see it which is fine I just need to know that.

Crowdstack doesn't have a concept of 'friends.' Instead, you can follow/get notifications when a specific person posts content. There's no mutual relationship. I'm not sure what that comment was referring to. The reason our private messaging works the way it does is that it isn't really a chat, it's a thread, which means the content is persistent forever (until it's deleted). Every participant can see the history of the entire conversation. If you could add people to the conversation down...
