Hi there, If a topic is posted on one group page, is it possible to cross-link it to another group page? OR Can we embed a widget from one group page on another group page? Thanks! Emma

Hello -  Thinking about buying some digital ad space on a pop culture webzine.  1. the "embed widget code" shows up HUGE. Can I size it down to ad space specs? 2. I know the user votes right on the page the widget's embedded into and it's not a redirect to voiceoftheregion.hoop.la at that point, but how does the user see the results? Thanks. Shelley

We have hundreds of groups in our website and I want to create a custom widget that I can share/embed with all of them. How do I do that?

Hi @Valerie Krist , Almost the exact same way that Rosemary described above. For step 3 select Groups -> Group Directory. The widget defaults to 15 groups but will show up to maximum of 50, and it will display a link to see the rest.

Hi, Shelley: 1. Embedded widgets are just iframes, and you can size them however you wish, using the height/width attributes on the iframe. The contents of the iframe are responsive to the size of the iframe, so that part should just work. 2. As on your site, once they take the survey, they'll see the results. Lori

Hi, Emma: You can do both of those things...but you'll want to make sure that the groups have the proper permissions: If you post something from Group A into Group B, whether it's a cross-post or a widget, Group B will need to have the permissions to see the content from Group A. Hope that helps! Lori

Hi again Lori, Would you be able to walk me through the process of doing both a) and b) above? Thanks, Emma

Hi, Emma: I was mistaken: you cannot cross-post in between groups, but you CAN share the content via a widgets. In order for that to happen, the group whose content you want to share has to either be public, or the people in the second group also have to belong to the first group. To be clear, if you want to share Group A's content with Group B, then either Group A has to be a public group, or members of Group B must also be members of Group A, in order to view that content. Does that make...

Sometimes you want to bring widget content onto the Home page of your community, in the left column. This tip is the step-by-step on how to accomplish that! If you've done this in your community, please share your own hints for making it work here too. In this example, we're displaying forum topics, but you can do this same method with other widget content. Go to control panel, under “manage widgets.” Click the Embedded Widgets tab. Click “add embedded widget.” Select “UBB Forum” in the...
