Hi Aaron- I'm not sure I understand your question. Yes, Hoop.la is web accessible. In fact, it is an online community platform, which is inherently on the web. I'm guessing you are intending to ask something else? Are you asking if it is mobile-accessible? If so, the answer to that is also yes. If you can clarify your question further, we'd be happy to assist. Thanks!
Hi Ted, Thanks for your response. My questions is esentially wondering if it follows WCAG or section 508 or will it pass accessibility checks? I did a few checks on the site I was referring to and found quite a few issues with accessibility.
Hi, I've added a new menu option to the top navigation of a groups menu that links to a custom page and the URL path includes ".../pages" My question, is it possible to clean up the path so the customer facing URL doesn't include " .../ pages/ ..."? Regards, Mindy
We we're hoping to join a community that uses the Hoop.la platform however since being affiliated with the state we need to ensure that this platform is fully accessible otherwise we can't utilize it. Thank you for any help and or advice. The sites...
hello! I used to have a hoopla powered website with the URL everyplaneteverystar.hoop.la however, this site has been deleted since I have not used it in several years. Is there any way to retrieve the info on this site?
Currently, our community is mapped to community.msgnetwork.com; we'd like to update to instead point community.msgnetworks.com (networks now being plural) and map to the community; question is, how do I go about making this update? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to set up a custom page, but for both Inherit or choosing a theme it is mandatory to input custom HTML. I don't have custom HTML as I want it to use the current theme's. What is the solution for this?
Hi Pearl, The custom HTML field is where you put the contents of your custom page. This field is required, as there's no point to having a custom page without any content on it You don't need to worry about putting any custom CSS or theme settings in that box. Does that help? Brian
Hi @Pretty Thunder ! Since this article was posted, (a couple of years ago), we have added the ability to include widgets on a custom page, so that might help you get part way there. If you'd like us to create the custom page for you, you could consider buying an hour of professional services time ($200). To take care of that (or ask more specific questions), just post a fresh support topic and we'll get you taken care of!
One thing I should note: dave@Davids-MacBook-Pro:~$ host community.msgnetworks.com community.msgnetworks.com is an alias for community.msgnetwork.com. community.msgnetwork.com is an alias for msg.evecommunity.net. msg.evecommunity.net has address 18.104.22.168 If you ever go to clean up your DNS and delete the old record, then the new one will stop working. You should probably fix that CNAME to point to msg.evecommunity.net directly to prevent an accident caused by cleaning up the zone file...
Hi, Mindy: There is no easy way to remove the "/pages/" from the URL. It would require a customization to do so, and you would have to be on a plan that allows customizations. If you think you might be on such a plan, I can get you a quote for the customization--just provide the URL of your site. Lori
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
