While I agree that "following" was creepy, and I have added the custom CSS to turn it off (thanks)---I DO wish there was a way that as ADMIN I could follow certain posters. "Following" had an administrative function too: A member of our Board was following me (the paid-admin) to keep track of what I was posting so she could report to the board that I was worth the BIG BUCK$ Now I will have to prove it otherwise.
Morgan- It will be a paid option because we will be tightly integrating it with Hoop.la's existing content moderation system, including options to send spam-detected posts to the Hoop.la moderation queue, delete automatically, and delete and ban users automatically. We will also have a "restore" queue for deleted spam.
Hi, DBenoit. Thanks for giving us some more information about you and your goals in your profile . From your profile What's your community's big goal? The goal of this community is to foster the exchange of experiences, issues, information, and inspiration toward overcoming personal health challenges in the hunting and fishing communities. Have you found any places (physical or virtual) where like-minded people congregate? I'm picking up on Rosemary's thoughts about brick and mortar...
Hi Rosemary, I'd be looking to run ad offerings for paid sponsors/adspace buyers, and not necessarily Google AdSense advertisements. I have to admit, I have not yet reviewed the blog regarding advertising on crowdstack! For the purpose of creating financial projections for my business plan, I need to know how to figure out how much advertising space exists/can be created with the foundation plan (to start) from which I can figure out advertising rates based on traffic rates and industry.
