Blog Post CommentI'm trying to set up a custom page, but for both Inherit or choosing a theme it is mandatory to input custom HTML. I don't have custom HTML as I want it to use the current theme's. What is the solution for this?

Blog Post CommentHi Pearl, The custom HTML field is where you put the contents of your custom page. This field is required, as there's no point to having a custom page without any content on it You don't need to worry about putting any custom CSS or theme settings in that box. Does that help? Brian

Blog Post CommentHi @Pretty Thunder ! Since this article was posted, (a couple of years ago), we have added the ability to include widgets on a custom page, so that might help you get part way there. If you'd like us to create the custom page for you, you could consider buying an hour of professional services time ($200). Blog Post CommentHi Chrissanne, For your notifications, you might want to double check that your "comments/replies" notifications are turned on, in addition to the primary content ones. To gather up your latest content for a weekly update, the easiest way would be to go to your control panel, under Manage Content, and do a search by date. I'm struggling to make the conversion from Facebook to our new (3 months) Hoop.la site (LakelandConnection.com) but this has reminded me to be patient. I look forward to more case studies like this!

Blog Post CommentThe biggest difference is portability. Since it's a widget, you can now put the personalized activity stream anywhere you want in the interface. Also, I think it appeals to people who are more used to the "feed" mentality, where you can see a page with "just your stuff" on it. Topic ReplyHi @Valerie Krist , Almost the exact same way that Rosemary described above. For step 3 select Groups -> Group Directory. The widget defaults to 15 groups but will show up to maximum of 50, and it will display a link to see the rest.

Topic ReplyYou can already set the background color of the overall widget in your theme... in the Widgets section of the theme editor. Thus, no CSS required.

Topic ReplyHi, Thanks for the explanation. It still doesn't help. In what way do I write the font size??? 12px? 12 pt?? I have set my font size in a widget which has my welcome pagagraph, and no matter what I do to it, it is displaying what I would call 2pt type. Please HELP!!!!!
