I recall reading something on hoop.la some time back (not sure where it is now) that feepod can be disabled. I see why a Standard or Pro plan user might do that, but what are the implications for someone using the Spark plan (formerly Apprentice...

Hi, my forum is www.psychcafe.ca. I have the "Enable Grace Period Contents Edits Only" option selected under member settings (Grace Period set to 60 minutes). Under my Feepod settings, the BYPASS GRACE PERIOD EDIT LIMIT is assigned to the circle which contains paying members ("Be a Patron Member") which enables a paying member to edit their posts indefinitely. However, many of my paying members are unable to edit their posts. I have checked all the settings both for the members and feepod...

Hi Rich, You'll need to use the specific permission circle's numeric ID in the selector, as I mentioned above to Brisotti. You can grab that ID from the URL and then use a CSS selector like .h-member-badge-XXX:before (where XXX is the numeric ID) instead of .h-member-badge-premium:before . Hope that helps! Brian

Hi Brisotti, The code should go into your Display Settings control panel in the Custom CSS box. You need to make sure you use the permission circle's group ID instead of "premium" if it's not a premium permission group. For your Patrocinador circle, that numeric ID is 350043526109298115, which you can see in the URL when editing the permission circle's details. I changed your selector to .h-member-badge-350043526109298115, which fixed the problem (you also had replaced the 'h' with "webkits"...

Hi Brisotti, For that specific badge, the selector is .h-member-badge-350043526109298115 so the font can be controlled with something like this: .h-member-badge-350043526109298115 { font-size: 0.8rem; } Note that we don't generally offer free assistance with Custom CSS. Custom CSS assistance falls under our Advanced Support, which is $150/hour. I've made an exception here to get you going in the right direction. If you need further assistance, please open a new support topic. Regards, Brian

Nice changes! One question: If you don't have groups or portfolios enabled, and added the Community Logo, is it possible to go back to using no logo at all (like on this site)?
  • Blog Post Comment
Slaz- Yes, definitely. The logo is only required currently if you have groups or portfolios enabled.

Ah, sorry for being a bit vague, but I meant that I already fiddled with the feature and added a test logo. Is it possible to remove the set logo and go back to using no logo at all? I can find an edit button next to the set logo, but that doesn't seem to allow removal of the logo.

Hi Slaz- Sounds like just something we need to fix. We probably just need to add a delete option for that scenario. These sorts of things are really better suited for our support site, but I will go ahead and add that to our to-do list so we can fix it.

Ah, sorry for bringing it up here. Thanks for adding it to the list though!

Hi: FeePod CAN be disabled, although that may not be necessary. If yours was the only premium membership sold on your site, you can simply cancel your membership in your (personal) control panel (Manage>>Your Account>>Premium Memberships. You'll want to do that pretty soon to avoid the automatic renewal of that membership. Note that you can also disable premium memberships from your control panel, which will only prevent new and renewal memberships. That may be all you need to...

Hi Richard- There is no setting to prevent it, but you could apply some custom CSS to hide it: div.likeReplyColumn { display:none !important; } (Add that to your Custom CSS field in Display Settings in your admin control panel.)

Is the like button going to be appearing in the original post? Or just replies?
  • Blog Post Comment
Hi Ricks- We already supported liking content in general.. this release simply adds support for liking comments and replies. Thus, you can now like the primary content itself, as well as any comment/reply. To like "the initial post", click on the like option in the right column near the top of the content page.

Like the likes as well. One question: Is there yet a way to set the default avatar to something other than the silhouette of a man - like to one of the stock avatars. Most of my site members are women, so the man doesn't fit at all. Sorry, guys!
  • Blog Post Comment
Hi Julia, There's still no way to change the default avatar. The good news is that if you upload stock avatars, it's very easy for anyone to select one of your predefined, stock avatars Brian

Jonmark, Thanks for the prompt reply. Is there even a ballpark figure for when I could expect a future release? The most important feature of our paid membership is the ability to edit your posts past the 60 minute grace period. This bug means either my paying members are losing a feature they're paying to have (and was most likely their main motivation to pay) or turning on editing for all members, which means that non-paying members are getting a feature for free that paying members have...
