Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating tomorrow!  We are thankful for our extended Social Strata family and cyber-friends.

For your enjoyment, here are 5 ways an online community is like Thanksgiving dinner:

  1. Every community has a "fruit salad," i.e., crazy, weird member who drives everyone nuts but adds a certain something to the group that would be missed if it disappeared.
  2. Sharing is the most important thing.  If no-one passes the rolls your way, it just won't be Thanksgiving.
  3. Everyone likes to do it their own way; there's no one way to celebrate. Each community has its own traditions and rituals, like Aunt Jane's green bean casserole.
  4. Someone has to do the planning and cooking.  Thanksgiving dinner requires a lot of work behind the scenes.
  5. In the end, you can have a beautiful table, fine china, and amazing food, but without people, it won't work!

Have a wonderful holiday.  Thank you for being here!
