Today, we have dramatically changed the Hoop.la plan options for non Pro accounts.
The new plan options are vastly simplified, with just three options: Standard, Apprentice, and Pro.
| Standard: $99/month |
| The Standard plan is nearly identical to our old Platinum plan. It includes unlimited admins, up to 20,000 members and up to 1 million page views per month. It includes all Hoop.la features except those reserved for Pro plans. For sites that want total control and all features except Pro, this is the best option. |
| Apprentice: Free |
| The Apprentice plan is a new option designed for sites who are willing to trade some control in order to have no monthly service fee. It has the all Hoop.la features (except Pro features) and includes unlimited admins and up to 20,000 members, as well as 500,000 page views per month. We’ve waived the monthly fee by essentially subsidizing the cost: the plan is ad-supported (we run our ads on the site) and it also has a mandatory, hard-coded premium membership, for which the Apprentice site only shares in the revenue above a certain sales level. This means that some features (like clip uploads for example) for this plan are only available for paying premium members. These sites can not run their own ads, either. Basically, it is nearly identical to a Standard plan, but with less control because of the ads and the hard-coded premium membership. |

| Nothing much is changing with our Pro plans. Pro is for customers who seek uptime guarantees, Single Sign-On (SSO), a sandboxed environment, application customization, SSL, or advanced support. |
These changes are based on feedback and data from our customers over the past year.
If you are on one of our older plans, don't worry... your plan is not going away. It is simply not going to be available for new customers. If you wish to change your plan in the future, you will need to choose from one of our new plans only.
To summarize what is happening if you on one of our older plans:
- The plan you are on now is not going away.
- You are free to stay on your current plan as long as you want.
- You will not be able to switch to one of our other current plans in the future, however.
- The current Freebie, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum will not be available for new customers or for plan changes once the new plans go into effect.
