We just rolled out another software update for all Hoop.la sites!  This was a relatively minor update, fixing a few bugs, but also adding the following new features:

1.  Support For Edit Grace Period

By default, Hoop.la allows users to edit or delete their own posts anytime.  The one exception is a forum topic that already has replies... we don't allow users to delete those (only admins can).

However, some sites would rather restrict the ability of their members to edit anytime.  Thus, we've added a new Edit Grace Period option in the control panel.  When this is enabled, your members will only be able to edit or delete their own posts within a certain grace period (a certain number of minutes that you set).

To enable this option, go to Manage > Admin Control Panel > Settings > Member Settings.  The new option is in the Basic Settings section on that page.

2.  Categories and Forums List Page Enhancement

If you have more than one forum, we display a list of categories and forums for users to select from. Previously, we only displayed the name of the forum, as well as an indicator about whether there are unread posts in the forums. 

In this update, we've started displaying a bit more info for each forum: total topics in the forum, as well as link to the last updated topic in the forum.  See example below.

3.  Support for Premium Custom Pages

A couple of weeks ago we rolled out support for Premium Memberships.  One oversight, though, was that you could not make a Custom Page premium.  We've fixed that in this update.. now you cam designate any Custom Page that you create in Hoop.la as "premium", allowing access only to premium members of your site.

4.  Join Date Now Displayed

Hoop.la now displays the date that a member joined your site in two places: on the Members list (/members) page, as well as the "User Div", the popup window that is triggered when you click on a member's "gingerbread man" icon.
