Sometime next week, we'll be doing a software update for both LiveCloud and Hoop.la and one of the new features that both services will enjoy is support for Google Fonts right through the Theme Editor.
The fonts you use on your site are important... after all, how you present your text reflects the personality of your site. Usually, people use the common fonts.. fonts that are available on all major browsers. This means very limited variety though... and really only a handful of fonts look the same form one browser/OS to another.
The nice things about Google's font project is that they have made it much easier to embed custom fonts on a site and the custom fonts will look the same regardless of the user's browser or OS.
We've built in turnkey support for all of Google's fonts (as of the moment) as well as all universal fonts-- fonts that commonly available on all major browsers. Click on a dropdown menu and choose the font type you want. We'll automatically create the code needed to render the fonts you select, so it just works.. nothing for you to do.
Now your Hoop.la sites can be a lot more expressive and a lot more indicative of the personality of your site.. no coding required.
Look for this new option in the Theme Editor when we do our update next week. You simply need to be able to create or edit themes to be able to use this feature!
