"How to put a widget in the main left column of the homepage" was one of the first questions I asked Hoop about during Beta, and I have seen many others ask the same question since. Answer: you can't put real widgets there. But I did figure out how to 'fake' one there --which also has the side option of creating 3 columns, if you like that sort of thing. Why? We like the idea of more custom content in the Main Left Column (aka " MLC "), and less of the preset content blocks feeding...
I hear & see where you are coming from. At work I have to carry over & or "bank" leave I have not taken in a "leave year". So the following year I have more to take but I still may not have the need to take this leave. If the concept of unlimited leave was used, this situation would not exist & I would be comfortable in the knowledge that should the circumstances occur the leave would be available if required... Simple.. Having said that, I do work with some (very undisciplined)...
Calendar is one of my [three] primary disappointments on my spiffy new [An]droid phone. I couldn't believe that Mac ical wouldn't allow seamless integration with Google calendar. Of course, the real embarrassment was that Google calendar has wonky integration with [Google] Android cellphones. Ah well, the bleeding edge. Hopefully these folks get things sorted. I'd really love an end all be all integrated solution for calendaring. If you go all digital, be sure you back things up...
Steven, the lightbulb will always hold a soft spot in my heart too SuBe, I remember the Christmas kazooing! That was so fun to see. Maybe we need a sequel this year... LOM I think your weird swag wins the prize! That's crazy. The real question is...do you ever wear it?
Lighting a candle for the dearly departed Activity Stream There are certain things about you that will be missed: 1. You announced New Premium Members and Newly Registered Members. You were a not-so-subtle encouragement to get others to "join in" too. You gave instant recognition to newbies. You gave community leaders a convenient place to see and follow up on newbies listed there. ( Where do they go now? ) You were a visible way to generate a sense of "community" -- which is something that...
On a related note, it would be great if the Recent Post widget displayed a link to "See More Recent Posts" (than what you set to appear in the widget). The old display posts/replies feature had a "display all" link and it was very handy. Currently, you preset the widget to display a fixed number of posts (up to 50), but invariably our leaders are looking for something that posted "a few days ago" and it has scrolled off the "show last 10" setting we have for that widget. (Yes, we could...
strangely enough, I have noticed a reversal on LiveCloud. Names being changed, Avi's that used to portray the real person being replaced with pictorial representations. It is difficult to be the real you when you are afraid that there are rather unsavoury people floating about who have more than a mean attitude. Groupee had a very personal touch about it. Then it was mainly American's with a sprinkling of other nationalities. I found the Americans to far more polite than the English and...
I personally feel that holding public debates is the way of maintaining civility..... And your ideas seems to be quite promising. Thanks for sharing. las vegas real estate
The world, and especially NYC is a better place for Chi Chi Valenti and Johnny Dynell inhabiting in it. Ms. Valenti's depth of writing/poetry talent, and ability to create and lead whole movements (and circus leadership!) is awe inspiring. She is the real thing..
