www.socialstrata.com/company/index.php Ted is missing and Dave is blurry. Everyone else is looking pretty good, though. Just an observation for some potential future improvement.

I am looking to provide links to a terms of use and a privacy policy statement for my forums / hoop.la website. Because I am using the SocialStrata service, how the user information is collected and used is partly determined by SocialStrata and not...

Hi Aaron- I'm not sure I understand your question. Yes, Hoop.la is web accessible. In fact, it is an online community platform, which is inherently on the web. I'm guessing you are intending to ask something else? Are you asking if it is mobile-accessible? If so, the answer to that is also yes. If you can clarify your question further, we'd be happy to assist. Thanks!

Hi Ted, Thanks for your response. My questions is esentially wondering if it follows WCAG or section 508 or will it pass accessibility checks? I did a few checks on the site I was referring to and found quite a few issues with accessibility.

Hi Aaron- Okay, understand your question now. You are correct, Hoop.la would not pass every accessibility guideline at this time.

Hi, Margarita: Your site is up for me. I also tried typing your site name here, to make sure: http://www.downforeveryoneorju....com/desaprender.org It shows that it's up for everyone else, as well. Lori

I am getting closer and closer to having my wife roll out her business using this forums software (fingers crossed we can make this happen). A question was raised to me regarding the idea of taking all the documents that currently reside on Google Drive and integrate it it our Hoop.la community. Now I know Hoop.la has the ability to add Files,Photos, Audio, and Video, but the blog-like look and feel of this is much different than functionality that displays folders, subfolders, and files. So...

Hi Argeaux! This document might be helpful for you. There's a whole section on FTP uploading in there. Note that this document is "archived" so there may be minor differences in the screenshots, etc., but the essential information on FTP should still be applicable. If this doesn't answer your question, please let me know!

Hi Kyle, After doing some more investigation, I believe I may have found the culprit. It looks like your OneCommunity implementation is passing invalid email addresses to Eve. Eve is in turn storing those invalid email addresses in the system. I'm finding 471 users with invalid email addresses in the system currently. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is going to be any kind of immediate fix available. The best short-term fix here is to fix the data on your end so that your...

Hi Pete! You can easily transfer ownership by sending an email to lori at socialstrata dot com from the email of record for the account. She can help you get it switched over to the new owner. Have a good weekend!

All of our plans include unlimited bandwidth, so that is a non issue. I'm not sure what cost you are referring to, since nothing I described in this blog requires a cost of any kind. Both new features are free. For further questions about your particular account, please post to our support site: http://socialstrata,com/support Thanks and have a great weekend!

For what its worth, I thought I would provide this bit of constructive feedback. perhaps this is a design element that can be controlled and modified by each website owner, but as it relates to the SocialStrata website, when I visit this page (and other similar to it): https://www.socialstrata.com/blog my eyes get "distracted" with all the brown bars. From a design perspective, I think you loose focus on the title of each post. Seems to me that the title of the post should be the first...

Hi, Richard: Yeah, in order to prevent or delete comments in threads, they'd have to have content moderation permissions, which you probably don't want for all members. I don't know when we can expect the user blogs to be available, but if you are watching our blogs at https://hey.crowdstack.com/blog, you'll see the announcement. Don't know if you do Twitter, but you can also follow us at @socialstrata and @gethoopla to see announcements about new features added.

I'm sorry your site has been affected by this! We're having intermittent DNS issues this afternoon, and we're investigating right now, trying to get things back on track. Please stay tuned here for an announcement or on our twitter account @socialstrata.

Hi Lori, Always nice to see you here helping us forumaestros! El Loro, these are the exact issues I'm looking at, but way back when, Lori can attest to it, I started bugging the socialstrata people to let me: 1) embed sounds which of course takes BOTH embed and BGSound because of the general browser types, 2) backgrounds which can go in tables, therefore behind text or anything else.. I remember putting a christmas tree in the background, and smilies on top of it as if they were ornaments...

Hi Bill, unfortunately, there was an error made by our data center (the one we're leaving), which put everything down for about 30 minutes total. I apologize profusely, and it shouldn't happen again. Incidentally, when things like that happen, we often post on our @socialstrata Twitter account, so if you guys are on Twitter, you have another avenue to reach us in an emergency like that. Have a great Friday! Rosemary

Hello Yogi, Your alerts here on SocialStrata are for my and El Loro's posts. If you click on the alert titles you will see that they are direct links to our posts, not yours. So I do not think there is a issue there. I can confirm that you do have alerts for your own replies to private messages though, so that is definitely a bug we will be digging into. Thank you again, Jonmark

I would agree with Neil 100% about getting a new email service. Yahoo and AOL are notorious for doing this kind of thing, and their email service, when compared to MANY others out there, is terrible. As much as I dislike Google, a Gmail account would be much better than AOL or Yahoo. You might also check with your local ISP about an email address via their service. Or, you could register your own domain name and use that for your email service. It's not that tough to do. Yakc130.com is ...

The problem with using your 'local' ISP for email (with a registered domain or not) is that they aren't in the business of email either. They'll give you several freebie email interfaces and spam filtering options, but none of them will be as good or as robust as MSOutlook or Gmail, not by far. And if your ISP allows spammers to go unchecked on their servers, you will be the collateral damage when their mailserver gets flagged. There may be other options, but the big two are the big two for...

It looks like everything for juliausher.com (including email) is hosted on 50.22.11.29 (bacon.accountservergroup.com). That is the IP address to which the mail was successfully delivered. It looks like that is a domain affiliated with Site5.com. Good luck!

Hi @Julie Usher , The Personalized Activity Stream is a feature that requires a rebuild process to complete before it becomes available. In the case of your site, since you are on a multi-tenant shared plan, it's not available just yet. Once it is available, you will see the Scope dropdown that Ted showed in his screenshot. Here is the Activity Stream page on your site: http://cookieconnection.juliau....com/activity-stream The new Personal Activity Stream page Ted referred to is linked on...
