Hi, Are you doing anything different in your community given the radical changes in our day to day lives recently? Our community is normally task-oriented and the task is creating great live musical performances. With the shutdowns - almost all of our members have had all their gigs canceled. This means three things. We have more time on our hands. There are significantly fewer practical applications for our products. Members have more time to explore our products (testing the limits,...

Hi, Is it possible to moderate reactions? For example, a member wants to react with at thumbs down. Can that member action be made to appear in the /cp/moderationQueue so it must be approved before it goes live? Thanks, ST

Okay, am I not online. I write a lot of replies in our community. I'd like to think I'm an original thinker, but it turns out a great deal of what I type is almost boiler-plate text. Here's something I wrote in 2018 in Library of stock messages/message This morning I documented how to make a post that had been forked to a new topic look like this. You can read about that here: Styling a post that has been forked to a new discussion There's a step where you have to edit the post and put some...

What do you think of this? If you're intrigued keep reading. If not; Move along folks. Nothing to see here. Fork to a New Topic We have the cool feature that let us fork a post to a new topic. and the post then gets a tag like this. The Problem But people will often reply to the post anyway - and that just makes things difficult. I just did this. When you click the Read More button it returns to To make this happen. Edit the forked post Edit the post Source Code Add the highlighted text...

Hi, Rosemary. Please consider creating a Members Only discussion forum. It looks like everything we write in this discussion space is public and visible to anyone on the web. I'd like to have conversations with other members - but specifically, members who are running Crowdstack. These conversations would be about using Crowdstack to foster, grow, and maintain our communities, not technical issues. What do you think? Thanks, ST

Hi, Will we be able to create a survey here in the Crowdstack "Hey Stack" community? I'd be interested in surveys like How old is your community? How long have you been managing it? How would you characterize your community Social Product Support Community of Practice Other What is your biggest challenge? What are you doing about it? What do you think? Thanks, ST

Hi, Did you convince someone in your organization to have a community using the words engagement or participation? We have a community where people ask questions, and we hope they get answers. It's not easy to tell if someone with a question visits us, finds the answer, and goes back to their lives - without a trace. They may not leave evidence of having been engaged by the content or feel it necessary to participate. How would you measure value in a community like this? Thanks for your...

Sometimes I want to reply to a long post and prefer to quote the original post, and then split the quote so I can insert comments. I found a trick for doing it. It's super easy. Reply with Quote Click where you want to split the quoted text. Press Enter once Press Left Arrow once Press Enter three times. This will split the quote and leave space for you to type something inside the split. This makes it easy to reply to a long post like this. Here's a video. Enjoy! Of course, if you know of...
